Portrait with emotions

Right now I am painting more than ever!
The studio is filled with the scent of oil paint and paintings that slowly emerge layer by layer. There is something special about periods when creativity almost takes on a life of its own, when ideas come faster than you can capture them and each painting leads to the next. It must be the spring fever! :-D

Lately I have been working a lot with portraits. I have always been drawn to the dreamlike, and the feeling of it is something a little intangible that goes on beneath the surface..
But right now I have also been inspired by the slightly more tangible human, in the form of expressive portraits with emotions on the outside :-) These are super fun to paint and there will definitely be a few more like that in the future.  

Now I have just put up three new portrait paintings in the webshop.
Each painting is painted in oil paint and created with a lot of feeling and thought behind each layer of paint.
It always feels a little special to let go of new works, like sharing a small piece of the world that has existed in the studio lately.
